It is said that “a picture is worth a 1000 words”. So far, “pictures” (C-scan) in eddy current have been restricted to costly and bulky laboratory instruments. Now, for the first time, ETher NDE has added a C-scan data display capability to a handheld high-end eddy current flaw detector package.
The high-end eddy current flaw detector includes all the performance and features of the AeroCheck+ Eddy Current Flaw Detector and also has the potential to scan areas and document inspection outcomes using a C-scan display.
It supports X/Y and R/Theta manual scanners using an easy scan calibration. In addition, flexible encoder configuration enables interfacing of several scanner mechanisms.
PhaseCheck can be utilized with all bridge, absolute, and reflection probes from all manufacturers and employs industry standard 12-Way Lemo and Co-axial Lemo 00 connectors, reducing the requirement for adapters.

Works the Way You Do!
Featuring a daylight-readable 5.7” LCD color full VGA (640 X 480 pixels) screen, the AeroCheck guarantees excellent signal resolution and presentation to operators regardless of the working conditions, and with the integrated “flip” function, it operates equally well for both left and right-handed users.
Lightweight, Rugged and Easy to Use
The AeroCheck Plus is lightweight at 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs) and is housed in a robust metal casing. It features easy-to-navigate menu systems, provides around 10 hours of battery life, and delivers excellent EC performance.
A simple “single-level” menu system is included in the AeroCheck Plus. Any menu item can also be added to the “Quick Menu” sidebar with its own easily recognizable Icon, allowing faster adjustments at the time of the inspection process.
The AeroCheck Plus has been exclusively designed with operator-selectable “soft keys”. Each menu item comes with its own easily recognizable icon. Four soft key positions are present for operator-selectable icons for commonly used functions, and a fifth position for the last menu function used. In addition, each saved instrument setting can be related to a special, one press set of quick access functions. Two front panel hard keys are also included that can be effortlessly programed for quick one-press access to instrument functions.
New Features
Innovative “Loop”Feature — “Loop” is an easy way to capture a live repetitive signal and to subsequently improve the instrument settings, particularly Filters, Phase, and Gain to ease the task of optimizing the parameters.
“Guides”Feature — “Guides” enable users to show a slide show that can be easily produced with frequently used desktop software. The advantage of this feature is that tutorials, instructions, and procedures for the inspection can be included in the AeroCheck+ quite rapidly and the NDT inspector can effortlessly shift between the “Guides” and the Inspection itself while executing a live test.
Trace — The trace function makes it possible to store a reference waveform on the screen and appears along with the graticule behind the live spot. This enables the operator to directly compare the live data with the reference calibration.
