A single box houses the vacuum system, electronics, and computer in the 4500 MiD®. It can be positioned anywhere where a typical mass spectrometer system cannot be deployed and never requires a floor pump while providing the same performance.

The Microsaic MiDas small interface sample module makes it possible to deploy the 4500 MiD® with ease in a wide range of on-line, at-line, and off-line applications.

  • Small footprint permits placement anywhere in industrial or laboratory facilities
  • The system is fully integrated and reliable. No extra vacuum pumps or external computers
  • Easy to use, “plug and play” consumables
  • Low maintenance expenses and a front end that requires no tools

Chip-Based Technology

The 4500 MiD® is dependable, strong, and user-friendly, with an increased mass range, a completely tool-free front-end for enhanced control, an intuitive and strong user interface, and improved electronics.

It uses Microsaic’s three main patented chip-based technologies, the ionchip®, spraychip®, and vac-chip. Changes in front-end alignment have improved system uptime and decreased pollutants’ deposits downstream.

  • Vac-chip
  • Ionchip®
  • Spraychip®

Mass Range

The 1400 m/z mass range opens up a new set of applications, such as peptide analysis utilizing Nano LC-MS, which is appropriate for the 4500 MiD®’s highly effective ESI source and a tendency for repeated charging.

The Microsaic 4500 MiD® is simple to use and maintain and offers reduced solvent, nitrogen, and power usage to cut running expenses and give a more environmentally friendly mass detection solution.
