Universal Cutting Mills - PULVERISETTE 19

Two new Universal Cutting Mills from FRITSCH are available with adjustable rotational speed allowing sufficient tuning of the comminution process for each sample within a very broad range of applications or for very robust comminution and mild thermal load without a high fine share and with unparalleled ease of cleaning. All models are characterized for rapid and safe comminution with numerous knife geometries, replaceable blades for highest flexibility and durability and the practical sieve cassette establishes the preferred final fineness.

Variable 300-3000 rpm for Fine Comminution

The high-speed Universal Cutting Mill PULVERISETTE 19 comminutes up to 60 L/hour of soft to medium-hard sample materials and fibrous materials at a torque of up to 30 Nm with consistent reproducible results. The big benefit: The variable rotational speed adjustment in increments of hundred between 300 and 3000 rpm allows tweaking of the comminution process for each sample within a very broad range of applications.

Variable 50-700 rpm for Powerful Comminution

The low-speed Universal Cutting Mill PULVERISETTE 19 with variable rotational speed modification between 50-700 rpm and a torque of up to 67 Nm allows, because of the combination of low cutting rate and extreme cutting forces, a very robust comminution of hard, tough-elastic samples and tiny sample quantities. Simultaneously, it is the perfect solution for all cases where, for instance, thermal damage, the loss of extremely volatile substances, or a disproportionately high fine share needs to be avoided.

FRITSCH-Advantage: Cold comminution – Embrittlement

As a result of the well-planned instrument design and the materials used, it is not a problem to comminute pre-cooled materials or samples embrittled with liquid nitrogen. The enhanced breaking behavior allows efficient comminution also of sticky, tough-elastic or temperature-vulnerable materials with dry ice or after previous embrittlement of the sample with liquid nitrogen.

Optimal Sample Exhaustion: FRITSCH Cyclone Separators

Clean, practical, cool: The FRITSCH Universal Cutting Mills PULVERISETTE 19 can be integrated with a FRITSCH Cyclone separator for sample exhaustion and an exhaust system which can also be ordered. The powerful airflow guarantees simple feeding, raises throughput, decreases the thermal load of the samples, and allows the use of finer sieve cassettes to realize a higher final fineness – even for materials, which are otherwise hard to comminute exceptionally. The result: a particularly rapid and efficient comminution with reduced thermal load and considerably higher throughput – as well as fast and easy cleaning.

FRITSCH Small Volume Cyclone Separator

Particularly for exhaustion of small sample quantities, FRITSCH designed the small FRITSCH small volume Cyclone separator. It is composed of plastic, can be pulled apart fully and cleaned in a dishwasher for reliably averting contaminations. The comminuted sample is collected in a screwed-on sample glass of 250 or 500 ml volume.

FRITSCH High-Performance Cyclone Separator

The FRITSCH high-performance Cyclone separator totally made of stainless steel 304 is especially indispensable in the analytical sector and in the pharmaceutical and food industries, and for the processing of varied mixtures of material, for example, in the cement sector. Owing to its high surface quality, it provides improved resistance to corrosive media, namely, alkalis and acids and is particularly easy to clean with a wide variety of possible cleaning agents, without leaving any deposits. Furthermore, it can be fully dismantled, completely emptied, flooded, and sterilized, and thus offering dependable protection against cross-contamination.

Particularly convenient: The comminuted sample is drawn straight into a larger collecting vessel of up 60 L, or the screwed-on sample glass, which can be transported and stored.

How the FRITSCH Cutting Mills work

Clean Design for Unmatched Ease of Cleaning

Available only from FRITSCH: For deposit-free cleaning all grinding parts of FRITSCH Cutting Mills can be removed in a matter of seconds without the need for tools – unbeatably fast, simple, and efficient.

The result: a totally open, empty grinding chamber with reduced dead space and even interior walls for fast and easy cleaning and consistent protection against cross-contamination.
