The newest release of BWSpec, a spectral data acquisition software that is the foundation for all of B&W Tek spectrometer software platforms, now features added plug-ins for Raman shift and laser power calibrations, as well as a Japanese language feature. BWSpec also now features automatic camera detection and selection for the Raman video microsampling system and supports Windows 8.0 and 8.1 Pro.
Both BWQT quantitative chemometric software and BWSP21pt11 have been updated. The newest release of BWSP21pt11 offers updates on data collection and now supports 32-bit and 64-bit drivers for i-Raman® series instruments.
B&W Tek’s TacticID software (specially designed for the TacticID handheld Raman spectrometer for narcotics, hazmat and explosive detection) has also been updated with numerous changes including new login options for optimal information security. It also features new light and sound signals to alert the operator whether or not a substance has passed or failed. New language options (Japanese, Spanish, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese) also exist for the PC version of the software that corresponds with the handheld unit.
